About Prince

Prince created NewPath to bridge the gap between the medical and social models of mental health care. That gap is where too many people are lost during transitions, especially at discharge from hospital. Many organisations do important work. Our focus is on integration, continuity and dignity in recovery.

Prince lost both of his parents to mental illness. He was nine when his father passed away, long before he understood mental health. After migrating to Australia at 18, he began to understand its complexity. He later became a registered nurse in mental health, yet still lost his mother. That experience deeply shaped his purpose.

Through both lived and professional experience, Prince has seen how fragmented mental health systems can be. Clinicians want to help, but time, structures and red tape often hold them back. NewPath was created to close these gaps, supporting people across life stages, from young people in recovery to older adults with complex mental health needs, so no one is left unsupported.
